Here we have a character called Michael "Mikey" struggling through the grief of loosing another parent. This loss brings him back into the Pastore family and ultimately to his childhood friend Nikki.

This is the first time I have read anything by Janine Infante Bosco and it won't be the last. A series I have been meaning to read for a while and it did not disappoint. This is so much more than your average Mafia romance. It's passionate and brings to the fore front the relationships of those trying to live their lives in spite of the actions of their parents. It was really very good, without being too dark or graphic. It was well written and quite witty in places with the banter between the characters, you can't help but fall in love with.

The love story between Nikki and Mikey was passionate and downright intense. I LOVED IT!!!
