Review for Witch Emerging (High Witch #2) by Mona Hanna: ★★

Witch Emerging (High Witch, #2)Witch Emerging by Mona Hanna

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::
I was given an ARC of this from NET GALLEY in exchange for an honest review.

After surviving their encounter with Julius, who had been hunting high witch "Ariel" in order to turn her and extend his life. She and Brayden are settling into a normal married life. Finding out she is pregnant, Ariel quickly learns that not all is at seem with the pregnancy and now she has to contend with a magical baby and her quest to find the other high witches.

The second installment of this series finds Ariel and Brayden travelling to help another High Witch, whilst contending with their own troubles that come with a magical pregnancy.

I can't say i am a fan of this series. As an adult I found this book like the first one to be a little lacking in something i can't quite put my finger on. It didn't grab me and make me feel like i couldn't put it down.

I wouldn't recommend this to an adult audience but i would maybe recommend it to a slightly younger audience. It's nice! It's not a particularly hard going read and it doesn't get very dark, so younger audiences would probably enjoy this far more than i did.

I have given it 2 stars.

Sequel to High Witch.

After surviving being hunted by Julius, Brayden and Ariel settle into their married life. Ariel is determined to find the other High Witches to make sure they’re alright. But there’s something going on with her pregnancy, something unusual, and she needs to find out what.

In the meantime, Hallie, an eighteen-year-old witch, is being pursued by Nicholas, a strange young man who knows about her past. What does Nicholas want with Hallie, and how are they both connected to Ariel? And what about Sean, the man Hallie loves? Will they end up together, or will Nicholas’ plan hurt all of them? The two witches will need to work hard to save those they love, and each other.
